Powerful UK companies are trashing the environment and wrecking the lives of people overseas through their global supply chains.
Some buy palm oil from areas where rainforests have been destroyed. Others finance the soy trade that forces people from their land. And UK law lets them get away with it.
Companies should be required to avoid harm to communities and the environment. When they fail they should be held to account. And the people affected should be able to seek justice.
Together with other charities, activists, businesses and trade unions we’re calling for a new law to hold business, finance and the public sector to account.
From turning a blind eye to toxic chemical leaks, to living with forced labour, it’s time to say no.
If you agree, please sign this petition and support a Business, Human Rights and Environment Act that really holds companies to account.
