Make sure corporate harm to people and planet isn’t “just business”

BULLDOZER_FULL_LANDING_PAGE

Greedy UK companies are raking in billions while precious forests are destroyed worldwide. Their “cutting-edge technology” and “blue-sky thinking” is having a devastating impact on wildlife, climate and communities.

Some buy palm oil from destroyed rainforests. Others finance soy trade that forces people from their land. For these faceless corporates, harm to people and planet is “just business”. And our government is letting them get away with it.

With November’s UN climate talks (COP30) in the Amazon fast approaching, we need urgent action. Companies should be required to avoid harm to people and planet. When they fail, they should be held to account. And impacted communities around the world should be able to seek justice in UK courts.

Together with other charities, activists, businesses and trade unions, we’re calling for a new law to hold business, finance and the public sector to account. Now that’s “thinking outside the box”.

With COP30 weeks away, we must act now to save our world’s forests.

If you agree, please sign this petition  and support a Business, Human Rights and Environment Act that really holds companies to account.
