Stop tainted timber destroying forests, homes and wildlife

Our investigation has uncovered a disturbing truth: “sustainable” timber from Malaysia can’t be trusted.

Certification schemes are failing, so timber linked to forest destruction, wildlife decline and harm to Indigenous communities could be on sale here in the UK. Precious forests are being cleared, destroying homes for wildlife, like the critically endangered Malayan tiger − with only around 150 left in the wild. Logging is trashing ecosystems, polluting rivers and impacting the people who depend on them.

This destruction must be stopped. The UK is one of the largest importers of Malaysian timber, linking our demand directly to this devastation. We need the government to investigate Malaysian timber imports and pass a new law to protect forests, wildlife, and communities.

Add your name now to help stop tainted timber and defend forests, wildlife and Indigenous people at risk.
