We need bold leaders who will give people and nature a better life and future. Who will protect wildlife, restore our rivers and stop pollution and waste. Who will deliver clean energy and warm homes, stand up for people’s rights and help communities adapt to the challenges we face.

• What we're calling for:

  Friends of the Earth Cymru is calling on the next Senedd and Welsh Government to:

  • Play our part in global efforts to reduce harmful gases that are heating up our world. This means clean renewable energy, not fossil fuels, and more sustainable ways to heat our homes, travel and go about our lives.
  • Get tough on pollution and make polluters pay –tackling water, land, plastic and air pollution to protect us and nature, so we can all enjoy a healthy environment.
  • Be fair and recognise that fighting injustice − locally and globally − is key to solving the climate crisis. Some people will need support to adapt to extreme weather and transition to greener jobs, and communities must be empowered to shape their own futures.
